The City University Counseling Center is a telehealth-only facility staffed by supervised graduate students from the Master of Arts in Counseling program. Offering individual, couples, and group counseling, it supports counselors-in-training as they build practical skills. Sessions are recorded for training purposes. While the center does not provide psychiatric care, assessments, case management, or crisis services, it can coordinate with external providers as needed.

Provides low-fee counseling and psychological assessment services. Offers in person and telebehaviorall health counseling throughout Washington State that includes individual, family, children, adults, adolescents, and couples therapy. Art and Drama therapy also available. Assessments services are performed in person only. The Clinic is a teaching facility, and all services are provided by student counselors and therapists who are supervised by licensed psychologists and mental health counselors. Graduate students in the UW clinical psychology doctoral training program working under the supervision of licensed mental health professionals provide psychotherapy and other psychological services to UW students and residents of the Seattle metropolitan area. Graduate student therapists work with children, teens and adults who are experiencing psychological distress. Clients must be a good match for a therapist-in-training. Prospective clients in acute crisis, those who require hospitalization or intensive medical intervention will typically be referred out or to specialized services within the Clinic (e.g., the Marsha M. CALM Clinic is a specialty clinic that provides training and clinical services in the assessment and treatment of children, adolescents, and adults with anxiety, obsessive compulsive, and traumatic stressor-related disorders.

Services are rooted in Dialectical Behavior Therapy and include group therapy, individual therapy, family support and medication management. Each patient is individually assessed by DBT trained providers and reviewed by a board certified psychiatrist to determine the appropriate level of care. Clients may also participate in daily yoga, recreational therapy, art therapy, life skills and planning groups, tutoring and vocational support and meals.
