Age 18 or above.  For emergency cases, referral is through the behavioral health providers at the Providence St. Peter Hospital Emergency Center.

Focus Population

  • Mentally Ill
Provides inpatient voluntary psychiatric treatment in an environment conducive to stabilization of symptoms of acute mental illness. Addresses psychological, social, emotional, medical and physical issues which may have contributed to a psychiatric decompensation. Therapies include, but are not limited to:
  • psychiatric group therapy,
  • recreation/activity groups,
  • medications if indicated,
  • educational groups, and
  • family support and education.
