Provides inpatient voluntary psychiatric treatment in an environment conducive to stabilization of symptoms of acute mental illness.
Addresses psychological, social, emotional, medical and physical issues which may have contributed to a psychiatric decompensation.
Therapies include, but are not limited to:
- psychiatric group therapy,
- recreation/activity groups,
- medications if indicated,
- educational groups, and
- family support and education.
