Helps pregnant women, new mothers and young children eat well, learn about nutrition and breastfeeding and stay healthy.
Provides nutrition and breastfeeding counseling, checks for nutritious foods, and assistance with referrals to needed services. Foods that clients are able to get are limited and the amounts are based upon if they are a woman or a child.
Offers classes and one-on-one counseling to help moms get breastfeeding off to a good start. Can give or loan breastfeeding mothers a manual or electric breast pump depending upon the situation.
