Family and Caregiver includes anyone in an unpaid, supportive relationship (parents, partners, friends, neighbors) actively engaged in their loved one’s recovery. Does not have to be a patient with UW Medicine.

Offers evidence-informed information, resources and skills training specifically for families and caregivers of people with behavioral health disorders. Communication skills training reviews how to have more effective conversations with someone who has a mental health disorder, especially when things get tense, or the topic is hard. Helps caregivers find ongoing sources of support.
