Assists those transitioning from the military to higher education. Coordinates veteran education benefits. Students must declare a program of study or degree objective to be eligible for veteran education benefits. The VA will only pay for classes that are required toward a degree or a VA-approved program of study.

Skagit Valley College is a two-year community college serving Skagit, Island, and San Juan counties in northwest Washington state.  With a focus on excellence: access, achievement, and community, SVC's district includes the Mount Vernon Campus in Mount Vernon, the Whidbey Island Campus in Oak Harbor, the South Whidbey Center in Langley, and the San Juan Center in Friday Harbor.  SVC grants transfer degrees, technical degrees, and certificates.  The academic transfer degree and several workforce education degrees can be completed entirely online.  In addition, SVC provides students with a variety of support services including admissions and registration, advising, career services, financial aid, and tutoring.
