Eligibility
For Veterans Relief Fund assistance:
  • Receive general or honorable discharge from a branch of the armed forces of USA, the United States of America.
  • Be a resident of Walla Walla County for at least 60 days
  • Be indigent under the Washington State definition.
All veterans are eligible to receive assistance with benefits claims.
Hours
M-F, 8am-noon, 1-4pm.

Call or email to schedule an appointment. Walk-in’s are also welcome. There is not a guarantee of service at time of walk in, though we will do our best to assist you. You may visit our website for more information.

The purpose of the Walla Walla County Veterans’ Relief Program is to provide emergency assistance to all local eligible indigent veterans and family members, as well as assist veterans with benefits claims through one of our Veteran Service Officers (VSOs).
  • Facilitates the effective use of assistance funds through efficient model programs that benefit veterans and family members experiencing financial hardships
  • Contracts with Helpline to serve veterans who are eligible for assistance.
  • Assists veterans in filing benefits claims
