Single Family Residence Rehabilitation Loan Program at City of Tacoma - Tacoma Municipal Building
Provides for the repair or replacement of a failed component in homes of Tacoma Residents that have a moderate or low income. The United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) supplies the funds to the City of Tacoma. Loan amounts can range from $15,000-$50,000. Loans are low interest (1%), and, depending on the condition and income status of the homeowner, may not require a monthly payment. Those who are under 50% Area Median Income and a senior (62+) or disabled, may qualify for a zero percent deferred loan. Loan can be used for things like: - roofs - exterior and interior painting - window replacement - carpeting and flooring replacement - heating and air system replacement - electrical work - sewer repair or installation - termite or pest repair - exterior work such as sidewalks, driveways, curbs, gutter, hand rails or ramps - door and window screen repair or placement - foundation or structural repairs - fencing and retaining walls.

Call or email for more information, or for an application. Residents in the city limits, but east of Pacific Ave, may need to contact Pierce County's program. Funds are first come, first served.

Eligibility
Must be a City of Tacoma resident. Must be the home owner (homes that are for sale are not eligible). Must meet the following income guidelines. -1 person, the income must be less than $50,900 per year, -2 people, the income must be less than $58,150 per year, -3 people, the income must be less than $65,400 per year, -4 people, the income must be less than $72,650 per year, -5 people, the income must be less than $78,500 per year, -6 people, the income must be less than $84,300 per year, -7 people, the income must be less than $90,100 per year, -8 people, the income must be less than $95,900 per year.
