LIHEAP - Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program offered at Olympic Community Action Programs - Port Townsend

Helps low-income families with heating costs, as funding is available to defray the cost of a household's primary heat source, including: electricity, oil, propane, firewood, pellets, or kerosene. Home may be owned or rented. Some funds are also available for owner-occupied residences in need of repair to heat system, or other emergency repairs as approved.

Eligibility

Applicants must meet income requirements, complete an application, and submit all required paperwork. - All adults 18 years of age or older, if no income must be present at the appointment. - Proof of social security numbers for **ALL** household members is required. - Anyone in the household older than 18 and still in school must provide a school ID. - Tribal members must provide a letter of denial from the tribe. - Must provide required documentation at time of appointment for application to be processed. - **Continue to pay energy bills**.  Having a disconnect notice or being currently disconnected will **not** give appointment priority.
