Senior Community Service Employment Program offered at National Asian Pacific Center on Aging

Eligibility

Low income Asian and Pacific Islander residents, ages 55 and older. Other program requirements may apply.

8am to 4pm from Monday through Friday

Recommends making an appointment.   Can visit in person, but applicant must complete an application to determine eligibility.

Provides temporary, part-time, on-site training for low income Asian and Pacific Islander residents at public and private community based organizations throughout Seattle/King/Snohomish County. Participants are paid minimum wage during training period with the goal of achieving un-subsidized, full-time employment.

Promotes and preserves the dignity, well-being and quality of life of Asian Americans, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islanders (AANHPI) as they age. Offers employment training for low income seniors in King, Pierce, Snohomish Counties, age 55 and older through the Senior Community Service Employment Program (SCSEP). Also, it provides opportunities for work in environmental fields through the Senior Environmental Employment Program (SEE). Advocate for the welfare of AANHPI seniors nationwide.
