  • Breast and chestfeeding support
  • Healthy foods
  • Health screenings and referrals
Schedules visits every 1–3 months to review health and nutrition, provide guidance on nutrition and breastfeeding goals, conduct periodic height and weight measurements and iron screening, and refer participants to additional programs. Issues benefits through an electronic benefits transfer (EBT) card for purchasing approved foods at authorized grocery stores, including milk, eggs, cereal, fruits, and vegetables. Monthly food benefits vary by participant type and household size and are valued at approximately $150 per month for a family of two. Provides additional foods for participants who breast or chestfeed and iron-fortified formula for infants who are not breastfed. Farmers Market Nutrition Program Offers seasonal produce vouchers for purchasing local, unprocessed fruits and vegetables at authorized farmers markets. Farmers market benefits are available only to adults listed on the WIC account. Online Ordering Allows Washington WIC participants to order eligible foods from Walmart for delivery or free pickup. WIC does not cover delivery or shipping fees, and delivery is not available to all addresses. For more information, visit https://doh.wa.gov/you-and-your-family/wic/shopping-wic/wic-online-ordering. WICShopper App Helps simplify shopping for WIC foods. Allows participants to check food eligibility, view benefit balances, and receive notifications when benefits are nearing expiration.
