Focus Population

Homeless

Provides a place where people who have no other option, or prefer staying in their vehicle, to locate and be reasonably secure from outside danger or from being asked to move by property owners or law enforcement. Offers a safe parking area that is fenced and spacious, allowing for distance between vehicles as well as the ability to separate families and childless households. Security is on site at all times to reinforce safety at the site. Allows access to the Rectory building on the campus, which provides bathrooms, laundry, a kitchen, as well as private meeting space and office space. Collaborates with other programs of CCS. Families using the safe parking site would have use of the Family Housing Network Day Center for use of the facility and Coordinated Entry and case management services. Veterans using safe parking would be assigned an SSVF case manager that could work with them on site and enroll them in rapid rehousing services. They would have access to a benefits specialist and connected to a HUD-VASH case manager at the VA as needed.
