Veteran must be enrolled in VA health care and meet one on the following requirements: - Has been (or will be) waiting more than 30 days for VA medical care  OR - Lives more than 40 miles away from a VA medical care facility OR - Faces one of several excessive travel burdens.

Description

This program provides Veterans access to health care from non-VA providers if they meet certain eligibility requirements. Using this service will not impact Veterans' current VA health care or benefits.   VA only covers community care for medical needs that have been approved by a VA provider.
