Family Planning Only offered by Public Health in Seattle & King County's Access & Outreach

Helps eligible King County residents enroll in a free birth control/family planning program, which provides several forms of contraceptives as well as birth control counseling, regardless of immigration status. Offers women the following services: - An annual gynecological family planning visit that includes a pap smear - Office visits directly related to a family planning problem when medically necessary - FDA approved prescription birth control methods such as birth control pills, patch and vaginal rings; injectable and implantable hormonal contraceptives; diaphragm, cervical cap and cervical sponge; male and female condoms; intrauterine devices (IUDs); spermicides (foam, gel film, suppositories and cream); emergency contraception; tubal litigation (sterilization). - Very limited screening and treatment for STD's under special circumstances - Education and supplies for contraceptives, natural family planning, and abstinence   Offers men the following services: - FDA approved over the counter contraceptives including male and female condoms and spermicides - One session of contraceptive counseling every 12 months - Vasectomy (sterilization)

Eligibility

King County adults and teens of all genders who want to avoid an unintended pregnancy. Must be at or below 260% of the Federal Poverty Level. Must be ineligible for Medicaid.

Refers low-income King County residents to health care providers, including providers of obstetrics, pediatrics, dental care (including the ABCD program) and women's health care. Refers eligible men and women to locations of the Washington Breast, Cervical and Colon Health Program. Helps low-income King County residents apply for ORCA-LIFT, the reduced-fare program for King County Metro. Also helps residents apply for health insurance, including WA Apple Health (Medicaid) and qualified health plans through the exchange.
