Gives consumers a choice whether or not to receive telemarketing calls. Once a phone number is registered, telemarketers covered by the National Do Not Call Registry have up to 31 days from that date to stop calling that number.
Registration in the registry will never expire.
Also accepts complaints from consumers who have received calls after being in the registry for at least 31 days.
