Eligibility

Serves kinship families in Whatcom, Island and San Juan counties. Kinship families are formed when grandparents or other relatives care for children whose own parents are unable to care for them. The arrangement can be informal and private; in other situations, the local child welfare agency is involved.

Offer support services for grandparents or other non-parental caregivers of children in their custody. Assists with legal, financial, and basic needs resources.

A non-profit community action agency offering assistance to low-income and homeless in Island County, WA.  Provides the following services: emergency shelter; transitional housing and case management; rental assistance; security deposit; eviction prevention; energy assistance; home weatherization and repair; conservation education; Basic Food Outreach; back to school back pack program; Basic Food Employment Training (BFET).
