Paratransit Services offered at Clallam Transit System

Take Highway 101 or 8th St to the Tumwater Truck Route, turn onto Lauridsen.
Eligibility
Individuals are eligible for paratransit service if they are 80 years of age or older, or fall under one or more of the following ADA categories. Category I - Any individual with a disability who is unable to board, ride, or disembark from any vehicle on a bus system that is readily accessible to and usable by individuals with disabilities. Category II - Any individual with a disability who needs the assistance of a wheelchair lift or other boarding assistance device and the bus route the person wants to travel is not 100% accessible or the bus lift cannot be deployed at the desired stop. Category III - Any individual with a disability who has a specific impairment/condition that prevents that individual from traveling to a boarding and disembarking location on the bus system.

Application process
Schedule a ride: Trips must be scheduled at least 24 hours in advance or up to 7-days in advance. Call to make a reservation M-Sa, 8am-4pm.   Next day service requests must be made no later than 4pm the day before.   Please provide: First and last name     - Purpose of ride     - Pickup address     - Destination address     - Telephone number at destination     - Appointment time or preferred pickup time     - If you have a companion or care assistant, and      - If you will be in a wheelchair.

  • Older Adults (65+)
Provides specialized door-to-door transportation services to elderly and transit disabled persons who have difficulty using the regular transit system.  This program is available to seniors 80 years of age or older and disabled persons unable to use lift equipped Clallam Transit buses some or all of the time.  Users must apply for services, be eligible, and schedule a reservation for rides.  Drivers will assist wheelchair riders and will provide support to ambulatory riders who need assistance. For additional care and assistance, rider must have a Personal Care Assistant (PCA). Drivers are not allowed beyond the threshold of riders' homes.
