Helps veterans who are receiving WA Apple Health (Medicaid) obtain veteran benefits they are entitled to.   Veterans receiving WA Apple Health (Medicaid) and their families may also qualify for federal benefits such as:

  • Medical devices
  • Family Benefits
Using federal benefits may give veterans more benefits, save them money, improve their health care and protect their family's assets.

Administers Washington Apple Health (Medicaid) and the subsidized children's health insurance program (CHIP). The Apple Health customer service center answers questions about eligibility, enrollment into managed care, and covered services, including mental health services. Coordinates the Washington Prescription Drug Program, which allows state residents to receive discounted prices on prescription drug purchases through a free drug card. Consults with veterans to help maximize their benefits.
