Iron Working Pre-apprenticeship offered by Seattle Jobs Initiative at Iron Workers Union
Offers a four week pre-apprenticeship training in ironworking, with wages starting at $27. 15 per hour. Run by trade professionals, the program balances classroom studies and on-the-job training while students earn a living wage with healthcare, retirement, and other benefits. As students learn more skills and their abilities increase, their wages increase. Participants receive career navigation, tools and work gear, job placement assistance and support services such as help with transportation and obtaining work-appropriate clothing.

Eligibility
Adults 18 years of age and older who have graduated high school or will complete a GED within 6 months of being hired. Must have income at or below 300% of the Federal Poverty Level or receiving BFET assistance. Must be able to work in the US without sponsorship.
