Friendship Center offered at Friends of The Carpenter

Provides a faith-based day center that offers daily activities, beverages and light snacks, showers (with on-site hygiene products, washcloths, and towels), laundry (with supplies), clothing, food, haircuts, table talk discussions, and a place to relax. Offers simple arts and crafts instruction focusing on woodworking projects. Through the Love Gifts program, participants can receive a grocery store gift card or gasoline voucher valued at about $5 once per week.

Hours

Friendship Center: M-F, 9am-3:30pm Daily Devotions, 9:30am-10am. Showers: Tu/W, 10am-2pm Th, 11am-2pm last call for showers, 1:30pm. Laundry: Tu/W, 10am-2pm Th, 11am-2pm last call for laundry, 12:30pm. Haircuts: 2nd M of the month, 10am-1:30pm first-come, first-served basis and are subject to availability.

Eligibility

Center: Community members who identify as homeless, low-income, or vulnerable. Laundry: 1 load per person / per day. Love Gifts: Must actively participate and spend time in the program to receive grocery store gift cards or gasoline vouchers.
