St. Martin de Porres Shelter provides safe and dignified shelter for homeless men ages 50 and older. The shelter opened in October 1984, in response to the growing need for an emergency shelter for this special population of older men who are vulnerable to the weather, street predators, and illness. The shelter currently operates at full capacity of 52 men daily, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
