Description
Offers a tool box of resources to work with military families on personal issues that require guidance on a case-by-case basis. Families are referred to the appropriate community services for assistance. There are Family Assistance Specialists stationed throughout the state, at local armories. They assist service members and their families in the areas of: - Crisis intervention and counseling referral; - Tricare medical and dental resource and referral; - Legal resource and referral; - ID cards and Defense Enrollment Eligibility, - Financial resource and referral, - Community information and referral, - Military benefits, - Service Member pay, - Communications, - Deployment/mobilization Support, - Property and household issues. Also works with community outreach/partnerships to provide: - Holiday support, - Back to school supplies and essentials for children/youth.
