Premium Assistance Program offered at Pierce County Project Access

Eligibility
Those who do not qualify for free healthcare but can't afford to buy insurance. Proof of a minimum of three months residency, annual tax filing, and a household income not exceeding 400% of the Federal Poverty Level. Applicants must not an affordable option for healthcare – (those offered VA coverage, Medicaid, Medicare, disability, and/or insurance via their employer are not eligible), - PCPA evaluates eligibility on an individual basis and may request further details. - Serves individuals and families.
Hours
M-F, 9am-4pm.
Application process
You must be referred by a health insurance navigator or partnered Broker. Must pass an initial screening to ensure the applicant fulfills the necessary eligibility criteria.
Fees
Premiums are fully sponsored by PCPA (at no cost to the member); however, the member must cover the deductible, co-pays and any other out-of-pocket expenses, including prescriptions.

Our Premium Assistance Program helps bridge the existing healthcare coverage gap, by covering the monthly premiums for silver-level Qualified Health Plans available through the Washington Health Benefit Exchange. We provide this support to residents of Pierce, Yakima, and Kittitas Counties who live at or below 400% of the Federal Poverty Level (FPL). Paying 100% of the monthly premiums of their healthcare insurance.
