Provides weekly peer-led support groups for adults with any mental health diagnosis.
Support groups are not therapy. They enable their members to receive and offer support and empathy to each other.
Provides the opportunity to "vent" in a safe environment and to see that one's emotions are the same as others' - not abnormal or shameful.
Provides a great environment for problem-solving among people whose life experiences are similar to one's own.
Connection facilitators have all been trained in NAMI's Signature facilitation process to ensure emotional safety for participants.
