Adolescent Psychiatric Residential Treatment offered at Tamarack Center

2901 West Elliott Drive, Spokane, WA 99224

Eligibility

Must be 12-17 years old, have a psychiatric diagnoses and exhibit behaviors that require 24-hour supervision and in need of more intensive treatment as opposed to out-patient therapy.

Hours

8am to 5pm from Monday through Sunday

Application process

Each potential resident is evaluated prior to admission to determine the appropriateness of placement in one of the programs available. Must have a referral from a psychiatrist, psychologist, mental health professional, a managed care company or parents to access services.

Fees

Fixed Fees, contracts with a number of private insurance and managed care companies who pay for all or a portion of the care.

Serves inpatient residents, providing 24-hour intensive treatment. Establishes treatment plans tailored to the child in an effort to achieve the least restrictive treatment level as quickly as possible. Provides medication assessments and monitoring of changes in medication. Residents are helped to address tough issues, such as depression, separation, identify, grief and abandonment. Not designed for those with developmental and/or intellectual disabilities.

Tamarack Center
Provides treatment for children and their families with problems such as suicide attempts, mood or thought disturbances, ADHD, learning disabilities and history of abuse or history of aggressive behavior. The focus of the program is to help young people break a cycle of emotional illness, low self-esteem and self-destructive behavior. Uses a combination of intensive treatment, compassion, family involvement and community outings to address their multiple needs.
