Drop in on Thursday at 10am for the VHOG meeting. Drop in during normal hours for information on all the services that veteran's and their families have access to. Call to schedule an appointment for specific services like the Vet Center, or Veteran's Assistance.

Description

Focuses on providing supportive services including outreach, care coordination and assistance in obtaining VA and other benefits. Services include: - Healthcare Assistance - Employment Assistance - Financial Management - Transportation Assistance - Financial Assistance - Peer-to-Peer Support - VA Benefits Assistance - Legal Assistance - Housing Support - Educational Assistance - Nutritional Assistance - Individual and Group Counseling. Veterans Assistance Fund County program that helps Thurston County eligible veterans with rent, mortgage and shelter assistance. Transportation Assistance Available Monday through Friday, between 8am and 4pm. Provides veterans with a door to door service to medical appointments in Thurston County, or to the American Lake VA Medical Center. Call (360) 456-3850 by noon of the day prior to the appointment. Financial Management Available by appointment. Legal Assistance Available the 2nd and 4th W from 1:30pm-3:30pm. Nutrition Assistance Food Bank available every day during normal business hours. Lacey Vet Center - Outstation Counselors are available by appointment only. Services include individual, group, marriage/family, couples, bereavement, military sexual trauma and PTSD counseling. All counseling services are free and confidential. Veterans Housing Options Group - VHOG Provides information on housing resources for veterans who are experiencing homeless, or are at high risk for experiencing homelessness. Includes information on VA, WDVA, SSVF (Supportive Services for Veteran Families), Sidewalk, Family Support Center, Salvation Army and WorkSource.
