Psychological Services and Training Center (The Clinic) offered by University of Washington's Department of Psychology
Graduate students in the UW clinical psychology doctoral training program working under the supervision of licensed mental health professionals provide psychotherapy and other psychological services to UW students and residents of the Seattle metropolitan area. Graduate student therapists work with children, teens and adults who are experiencing psychological distress. Clients must be a good match for a therapist-in-training. Prospective clients in acute crisis, those who require hospitalization or intensive medical intervention will typically be referred out or to specialized services within the Clinic (e.g., the Marsha M. Linehan Dialectical Behavior Therapy - DBT- specialty clinic). Marsha M. Prospective clients will be screened and if appropriate carefully matched to a trainee working under the supervision of experienced, licensed mental health professionals. Fee
Psychotherapy fees are determined according to the Clinic's two-tiered fee scale and are based upon the client's gross annual income. For psychotherapy intakes, all clients pay a fee that includes an intake interview and initial psychological testing. Does not accept insurance of any kind as insurers will not reimburse for student therapists.
