Oil Donation offered at Tanks by Dallas

Eligibility
Low-income individuals and households, including older adults and people on fixed incomes, that use diesel heating oil as their primary heat source. Current level of oil in tank must be provided in order to set up a donation. Program attempts to serve clients once a year.
Hours
8am to 4pm from Monday through Friday
Application process
Call to put name and address on the list. Allow 24 hours for staff to return calls.   Email a request for contract. Must give written permission on HEAT(Home Energy Assistance Team) contract for Tanks by Dallas to enter the property and access the oil tank.   Also accepts referrals from social service agencies and oil companies.

Receives home heating oil (diesel heating fuel) donations for heating to low-income households at no cost. Oil is pumped from unused residential oil tanks, filtered and pumped into company truck, and delivered directly to the oil tanks of households on the waiting list. Donations are done when we are in the area and have extra oil.
