Energy Assistance offered at Community Action Center of Whitman County

Offers various energy assistance programs for low-income families and individuals living in Whitman County. Provides emergency assistance for those with a shut-off notice or out of heating fuel. Also helps enroll households in Avista's My Energy Discount program. Provides the Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP), assistance for heating bills such as natural gas, electric, oil, propane, or wood. Households that qualify for LIHEAP might qualify for one portable air conditioner. The LIHEAP program runs from October 1st to July 31st every year.
