Located in Shoreline between Aurora and I-5; courthouse is on Meridian Ave N between N 180th & N 185th St. Call King County Metro at (206) 553-3000 or visit http://tripplanner.kingcounty.gov/ for public transit information.  From I-5:  -  Take exit 176 for NE 175th St. -  Go west on NE 175th St for one block. -  Turn right onto Meridian Ave N. -  Courthouse is on the right, just after Cromwell Park.

Case must be filed in the division having jurisdiction over where the infraction occurred.

Description

Handles non-criminal traffic infractions; no jail sentence may be imposed.  A person who has been issued a notice of traffic infraction must respond within 15 days of the date the notice was issued.  In responding, the defendant may choose to do one of the following:  -  Admit the commission of the infraction and pay the prescribed penalty -  Admit the commission of the offense but request a hearing to explain mitigating circumstances -  Request a hearing to contest the commission of the infraction
