Develops and preserves affordable rental housing throughout Seattle. Owns and manages over 30 properties for a total of over 2000 units in the Seattle neighborhoods of Belltown, Capitol Hill, Cascade, Central Area, Denny Triangle, Downtown, First Hill, International District, Northgate, Rainier Valley and Wallingford, as well as the city of Tukwila. Units range in size from studios to four-bedroom apartments. Website provides detailed information about eligibility, application process and all properties. Application process
Follow these three steps: 1) Call or check Bellwether's website for property descriptions. On website, select "Apartment Finder" then "Search Washington" to view a list of available units for which you may qualify. Website is frequently updated with any new unit availability. 2) After identifying a unit, call the resident manager at the phone number provided on the website to make an appointment to view the unit. You may have to leave a voicemail. 3) After viewing the unit, fill out the application provided by the resident manager and follow any additional instructions you are provided with. Waiting lists are maintained only for subsidized units for very low-income households; all other units are rented on a first-come, first-served basis.

Eligibility
Households with income 30-80% of Area Median Income. Serves those in possession of a Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher, Shelter Plus Care or similar rental subsidy; and those eligible for Bellwether Housing's subsidized units. Additional screening criteria may apply. Cats and dogs accepted at some properties. Some properties specifically serve students, and some serve older adults, ages 55 or 62 and older, and those with disabilities.
