They will also bring in other professional staff to aid in the process, if needed.

Administers and enforces the Yakima County building, mechanical, plumbing, and fire code ordinances to safeguard life, health, property, and the general public welfare. The ordinances regulate and control the design, construction, and quality of material use and occupancy, location and placement, and repair and maintenance of all buildings and structures in unincorporated Yakima County. Building and Fire Safety also enforces the zoning ordinances, abatement of dangerous buildings and public nuisances ordinance, flood hazard ordinance, state energy code, state indoor air quality code, and the Yakima County abandoned vehicle ordinance.
