Focus Population

Commission promotes social, economic and political equity for women and LGBTQ individuals. Occurs through legislation, policy development, education and advocacy with organizations and institutions.   Advocacy:   Promotes equity for women and LGBTQ individuals concerning domestic violence, employment barriers (including sexual harassment and discrimination) and other issues.   Information and Referral:   Connects individuals with resources in the community that address the needs of women and LGBTQ individuals on issues including sexual harassment, domestic violence, employment discrimination, hate crimes, domestic partnership and women in business.   Publishes informational materials on many of these topics.   Advance notice needed for a language interpreter.
