Crime Victim Advocacy Program offered at Emergency Support Shelter
Provides information and advocacy to victims of general crime. General crime can include assault, robbery, vehicular assault, property crimes, and homicide survivors. Does not assist with domestic violence crimes or sexual assault. The program is designed to assist victims of general crime (reported or not) in regaining their sense of safety and well-being. Services include a 24/7 crisis line, face-to-face consultation, and legal and systems advocacy to ensure that the individual's needs and rights are represented and upheld. Advocates are able to assist clients with their needs for as long as necessary until the client has regained a sense of health and well-being.
