Provides application assistance with income-based health insurance programs. Offers low-cost access to mental healthcare for approved and uninsured residents of Orcas Island. Program participants can receive up to 12 counseling sessions for a sliding scale copay of $5–$30 per session. Coordinates community dental clinics for people on Medicaid and those who do not have dental insurance and cannot afford dental care. Healing Arts Center member-practitioners offer discounted health services—including massage, acupuncture, psychotherapy, naturopathy, and more—to island residents facing financial or personal challenges.
