Weatherization Services offered by King County Housing Authority

Eligibility
King County homeowners and tenants living outside the city limits of Seattle, in single-family units, mobile homes and qualified apartment buildings.   Apartment buildings may qualify if 50% or more of the tenants are income-eligible.   Gross household income must be at or below 200% of the Federal Poverty Level, or 60% of Area Median Income.

Makes grants to eligible households to cover the costs of labor and materials for work to make homes more energy efficient.  Projects may include the following: 
  • Air Sealing (Foam Sealant, Weather-stripping and Caulking) to prevent drafts
  • Insulation
  • Ventilation
  • Minor repairs to accommodate energy saving measures
Generally does not provide new windows.
