Community Vans Program offered at Intercity Transit
The Community Vans Program helps non-profit groups and government agencies with their transportation needs. Provides passenger vans on a reservation basis to qualified organizations. Organizations must provide a driver and coordinate trip logistics. Drivers must complete Intercity Transit's defensive-driving training course.

Fee
$1.01 per mile for each trip, and IT maintains and insures the van.
Eligibility
Non-profit groups and government agencies. The group must provide a driver who is approved, trained and certified by Intercity Transit. The trip must originate within Intercity Transit's service area and remain within 150 miles of this area.

Intercity Transit
Provides public transportation services in Olympia, Lacey, Tumwater, and Yelm. Bus routes serve major worksites, medical facilities, shopping centers, and schools. Express service to Lakewood and Tacoma connects with Pierce and Sound Transit services. All buses accommodate people who use mobility devices. All buses, except buses that service The One, accommodate bicycles. Connections to Mason and Grays Harbor are also available. Dial-A-Lift provides transportation for people with disabilities that prevent them from using fixed-route bus service. Intercity Transit also operates vanpool service for commuters and Village Vans provides transportation for employment-related activities to people with low incomes. Community Vans provides vans, by reservation, for qualified non-profit and government agencies.
