Housing Assistance at Chief Seattle Club

Provides financial assistance to American Indians and Alaska Natives to help them become or remain stably housed. Assistance includes eviction prevention, move-in assistance and utility bill payment assistance. A housing case manager is available to help clients look for low-cost housing.

Call for more information. Clients must apply for membership and complete intake. Members visit in person to receive services.

Identification: Driver's License or Government Issued ID/ Tribal ID/ Military ID Social Security Cards for each person in the household *including minors Birth certificates for children only Income Verification: Paystubs, SSI or SSDI statement, VA Benefit Award Statement, TANF/EBT award letter, Unemployment or workers compensation statement, tribe per capita or Shareholder statement, Bank statements showing direct deposits (at least 2 months' worth of verification) For Rental and utility assistance: Current lease agreement, Name on lease must match the person requesting assistance. Current Landlord contact information: Name, phone number and email address where they can be reached. Most recent utility bill with total past due amount showing.

Eligibility

American Indians and Alaska Natives with proof of tribal affiliation. Must be a member of Chief Seattle Club.

Operates a drop-in center for Native Americans and Alaska Natives, providing supportive services such as clothing, meals, hygiene items and assessment/referral to drug and alcohol treatment, health care, mental health and more. Assists with applications and questions regarding DSHS benefits. Provides support on getting an ID, glasses, housing assistance and case management services. Provides cultural programming and an art program.
