Eviction Prevention Program offered at Family Support Center of South Sound

Providing eviction prevention to income eligible households in Thurston County who are willing to meet program requirements. This program serves families with children. Young adults without children apply through Community Youth Resources, and adults over the age of 25 and with no children in the home apply through Partners in Prevention Education. Applicants must also work with a case manager to complete a screening form for prioritizing households at highest risk of homelessness, and to participate in housing stability planning.

Eligibility

Thuston county families with children who: - are behind in rent AND - are at risk of homelessness AND - at or below 80% of Area Median Income (AMI). Income limits: - household of 1 is at or below $56,500 per year - household of 2 is at or below $64,600 per year - household of 3 is at or below $72,650 per year - household of 4 is at or below $80,700 per year - household of 5 is at or below $87,200 per year.

The Family Support Center of South Sound (FSCSS), a 501 (c) (3) organization since 1992, has a successful track record of delivering effective and innovative human service programs for children and their families. The mission of FSCSS is: Working Together to Strengthen All Families. Vision: We envision a community where families are valued and nurtured and have the resources to be strong, healthy, and hopeful. FSCSS values cooperation and collaboration as the best approach to getting things done, and works in close partnership with other non-profit family service organizations as well as city, county, and state agencies that serve our Thurston County community. FSCSS has a healthy foundation with skilled, dedicated staff members, as well as a strong base of volunteers who bring a wealth of skills, interests, and passions to help us meet our mission.
