Eligibility
Adults 18 years of age and older who have graduated high school or will complete a GED within 6 months of being hired.
Must have income at or below 300% of the Federal Poverty Level or be receiving BFET assistance.
Must be able to work in the U. S. without sponsorship.

Offers a six month training for shipyard-specific welding and fitting, with wages starting at $20-25 per hour plus benefits. Classes are held Monday through Friday from 8 a. m. to 2 p. m. and sessions are held twice yearly. Aside from training, students will participate in industry tours and presentations.
Through Classroom-In-A-Shipyard, students earn multiple welding & industry certifications; connect with employers dedicated to their career growth, including second-chance employers for re-entry candidates; and develop interview and resume-building skills.
Participants receive career navigation, tools and work gear, job placement assistance and support services such as help with transportation and obtaining work-appropriate clothing.
