Low-Income Housing offered at Housing Authority of Island County

7 6th Street Northwest, Coupeville, WA 98239

Turn off Hwy 20 at traffic light in Coupeville onto North Main Street (toward Whidbey General Hospital).  Travel down North Main approx. 5 blocks to NW 6th Street and turn left.  After one block, turn left into Dean Manor.  Office is located in community building next to flagpole.

Eligibility

Public Housing: Over 62 years old or a person with disabilities.  Income below 80% of area median income based on household size. Section 8: No restriction who is eligible but must be below 50% of area median income based on household size.

M-Th, 8am-4:30pm.

Fees

Public Housing rent will be 30% of adjusted gross monthly income. For Section 8 the initial portion of rent can vary from 0%-40%.

Manages 110 units of public housing for seniors and people with disabilities. Waitlist for public housing is 3-6 years. Distributes Housing Choice Vouchers (Section 8). Waitlist is currently closed.
