Community Services offered by King County Sheriff's Offices' Community Service Officers Section

Provides conflict resolutions in non-violent situations, victim assistance, referrals, and information on social services. Community Service Officers are the unarmed section of the police department; they will not respond to situations involving weapons or violent behavior.

M-F, 8am-8pm.

Application process

Call. If call is answered by a recording, dial 911 and ask for a community service officer.

Eligibility

Those that live within Burien, White Center, and Skyway. Transportation is not normally provided; exceptions are made for emergencies only. Supervisor approval is mandatory. Cannot respond to situations involving weapons or violent behavior.
