Individuals can come to the office, get a referral from the CRS, fill out a self-referral on the website at: https://worksource-pierce.org/jobseekers/young-adult/ or be referred by friends/family.

Serves Young Adults aged 16-24 with one-on-one career advising that assists with getting into either employment, post-secondary education or both. Serves individuals who have barriers to employment and/or education, including pregnancy or parenting, dropped out of school, lack of stable housing, current or previous foster care, disability, or other barriers that need additional attention when looking for employment. Participants and staff work together to both establish goals for employment and/or education and then break down how to complete the work in bite sized pieces to ensure success. OSY (Out of School Youth) Serves Youth and Young Adults between the ages of 16 and 24 years old and that have a barrier that can include being justice involved, having a disability, pregnant or parenting, non-native English speaker/ESL, lack stable housing or currently or previously in foster care. Youth also need to be committed to receiving regular one-on-one career advising a minimum of once every 30 days and can meet as often as they would like.
