Eligibility

Families with children ages 3-5. Families with incomes at or below 100% Federal Poverty Level (FPL) are eligible. Children in foster care, homeless children, and children from families receiving public assistance (Temporary Assistance for Needy Families, Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) or Supplemental Security Income) are eligible regardless of income. Families with higher incomes and specific needs may also be eligible, but families with higher needs are prioritized.

Head Start services promote school readiness by enhancing the social and cognitive development of children in a classroom setting and by providing educational, health, nutritional, social, and other services to children and families. Parental engagement is emphasized. Services for parents include goal setting and support, parenting classes, and opportunities for parents to network.
