Eligibility
Residents of Klickitat County who
  • Are ages 60 or older (55+ if American Indian/Alaska Native)
  • Have income below 185% of the Federal Poverty Level
Must be age 60 or 55 by June 30th of the year applying. Income must be no more than $2,461 per month for one person or $3,336 for two people. For each additional person, add $876.

8am to 5pm from Monday through Friday
Application process
Call for details or to sign up during the application period. Participants must reapply for the program each year. Must complete an affidavit of eligibility after submitting an application. Vouchers are limited in supply and available on a first come-first serve basis.

Provides low-income older adults with $80 in benefits to purchase fresh, locally grown fruits, vegetables, herbs, and honey from authorized farmers markets June through October. Applications open each spring. Provides low-income older adults with vouchers to purchase unprocessed, locally grown fruits, vegetables, herbs, and honey from authorized farmers markets and farm stores. The program:

  • Connects participants to local agriculture
Participants receive a one-time seasonal benefit of $80 loaded onto an electronic benefits card. Benefits can be used to buy items such as apples, berries, leafy greens, tomatoes, peppers and squash. Funds can only be used during the current market season. Complete the proxy form to allow family members to use the card. Free phone app allows users to track their benefit balance and purchase history as well as locate authorized markets.
