Utilities Assistance offered at The Society of Saint Vincent de Paul St. Michael Conference (Olympia)

Eligibility

Urgent/Final/Shut-off notice. Must give PSE or Utility company permission for SVdP to speak on behalf of your account (done by calling them). Yelm/Rainier residents, please contact the St. Vincent de Paul St. Columban Conference in Yelm; residents of Shelton please contact the St. Edward's Conference in Shelton.

Application process

Call for support and leave a message that includes: - name (please say and spell name), - address, - phone number and - brief description of need including utility name and account number. Calls will be returned to arrange support - either telephonically or if COVID protocols allow, by 2 Vincentian volunteers with requirement for masks and social distancing.

General

Assistance with utilities, including gas, electric, and water up to approximately $200 to $500 (ONLY if notice of shut-off has been received, or from PSE urgent/final/disconnect notice).   Typically, support given once (one payment) over a 12 month period. Note: Funds are allocated monthly and distributed on a first come, first serve basis until the monthly allocation is exhausted.
