Eligibility
Income must be at or below 150% of the FPL.
Countable resources must be at or below $14,100 for an individual or at or below $28,150 for a married couple living together.
Countable resources do not include one's primary residence, life insurance policies, burial plots or spaces, vehicles in use, or certain distributions received by an Alaskan Native from Alaska Native Regional and Village Corporation.
Must be entered into a Medicare prescription drug plan (PDP) such as a Medicare Part D or Medicare Advantage Plan (Part C) that includes prescription coverage.

Assists with prescription drug program costs for qualified low-income individuals receiving Medicare prescription drug coverage.
Extra Help is estimated to provide about $4,000 per year to assist with monthly premiums, annual deductibles and prescription co-payments related to a Medicare prescription drug plan.
Individuals receiving Medicare and Supplemental Security Income (SSI) or dual-enrolled with Medicare and Medicaid are automatically enrolled into Extra Help.
After applying, the state will then contact the applicant to assist with applying for a Medicare Savings Program.
