Family Caregiver Support Program at Pierce County Human Services - Aging and Disability Resources
Provides services to support and sustain unpaid caregivers who are caring for: - an aging parent, - ailing spouse or partner, - disabled adult child or - friend suffering from a debilitating illness. Services include: - information; - respite care; - professional consultation; - housework and errands; - bathing assistance; - assessment; - minor adaptive equipment; - comfort therapies; - counseling; - and support for relatives raising children.

Pierce County Human Services - Aging and Disability Resources
Provides planning, funding, and advocacy for long term care services in the community. Provides seniors and adults with disabilities information, assistance, and case management. Conducts in home assessments to determine the need for in-home care, family caregiver support, or other community based services. Also operates the Long Term Care Ombudsman program, which advocates on behalf of residents in Long Term Care (LTC) facilities.
