Support Groups offered by Alzheimer’s Association Washington State Chapter in Seattle
Provides dementia-specific support groups for family members, caregivers and those in the early stages of the disease process. Trained group leaders facilitate discussions that assist in information sharing, disease education, improved coping strategies, emotional support and problem solving techniques. More than 100 groups are available across Washington state and Northern Idaho. Specialty groups focus on particular areas of interest and target participants including: - Early stage - Young onset, - Other types of dementia - Adult children - Long distance caregivers - Men's group - LGBTQ - Mixed groups - Multi-ethnic caregiver groups
