Housing and Essential Needs offered at Rural Resource Community Action in Republic

Eligibility
Low-income adults unable to work for at least 90 days due to a physical or mental incapacity and who are ineligible for the Aged, Blind or Disabled cash assistance program. Must be homeless or at risk of homelessness. Eligibility is determined by DSHS.
Hours
M-F, 8am-4:30pm
Application process
Apply in person at a local DSHS Community Services Office, online at washingtonconnection.org, or by calling the DSHS Customer Service line. Once DSHS has determined medical and financial eligibility, they will provide a referral to the regional HEN provider.

  • General Disabilities
Provides essential needs services and financial assistance to those unable to find work because of a disability. Essential Needs Includes help with obtaining personal health and hygiene items (such as toothpaste, shampoo, toilet paper), cleaning supplies (such as laundry and dish soap), and bus passes.  Assistance cannot be provided through gift cards, vouchers, or certificates. Financial Assistance Depending on available funding, may include monthly rent, overdue rent, security deposit, and service animal deposits. Utilities assistance is limited to electricity, natural gas, sewer, water, garbage, and utility deposits.
