Eligibility
Participants must be receiving unemployment benefits or be eligible for benefits, have exhausted their unemployment benefits within the past two years and still be unemployed, or have received a written notice of future layoff from their employer and will be eligible for unemployment benefits.

M-Th, 8am-5pm.

Fees
General advising is free.  Some career testing and computerized career guidance services have fees. Worker Retraining participants may qualify for special financial aid.

Helps unemployed individuals retrain for a new job or career as part of a statewide program.   The Worker Retraining Program is a partnership between community and technical colleges and the Washington State Employment Security and provides funding and other resources to enable unemployed individuals to acquire the skills needed to return to work. This could mean a short term skills upgrade or a new career path and enrollment in a professional technical program.
